Buying Out of Area?

Hi. Mitchell Jones, Mitchell Home Sales, Coldwell Banker Realty. Last week, I received a call from a friend, and she said that her kids are looking to buy their first home and they’re out of area. And she said they’re starting to interview agents, they’re new at this, what kinds of questions should they ask these agents when interviewing them? Here’s what I suggested. The first thing is ask that agent are you full time? Because if that agent is part time they may not have all the time to dedicate, especially if a home comes on the market in short time and that’s the right fit. You want that agent available to be able to show that property. The other thing to consider would be how long has that agent been in the business? What kind of experience does that agent have? Another question to ask of that agent is how many homes in that exact area has that agent sold? Because the geography is really critical too. When they know the area that they’re looking for they really want to make sure that it’s going to be the right fit and that agent has working knowledge say of the, HOA rules or working knowledge of the cost for HOA or the area taxes. So those are really important questions to ask of the agent. For answers to questions you might have pertaining to buying a home or even selling a home, I hope that you’ll give me a call. My number is (951) 805-1451.
